The smallest city in the United States to host a NASCAR raceway is Martinsville, VA. With a population of roughly 12,000 the Martinsville economic survival depends on over 60,000 tourists who who attend two NASCAR races each year. Because of COVID-19, this year the races will continue but without fans. How will Martinsville survive this devastating loss and not end up like so many other small towns in the United States?
